Kevin Craig Scores A Hole In One In His Small Golf Group Debut!
Kevin Craig accomplished the rarest of sports feats today as he scored a hole in one on the second fairway he ever played on! Today, Sunday September 28, 2008 at the Temple Terrace Golf Club Kevin used a 6 iron to hit a hole in one on the second fairway which is a 150 yard par 3.
Before our golf match we all enjoyed a devotional from the book "Hole in One" by Dan Bolin. Today's devotional was telling us about the importance of cart paths in golf and also staying on the right path with God.
Less than fifteen minutes after listening to Victor read our devotional from the book "Hole in One" Kevin hit a hole in one! If you enlarge this picture you can see the tee box 150 yards away. That is how far away Kevin teed off to get his first hole in one on the second fairway he ever played on! There were seven of us playing today with around 100 years playing experience combined, and no one else in the group has ever had a hole in one!

Tim and I tied for fourth place today. His son Shane is also a good golfer who got a birdie his first time out. It amazes me how well everyone else does while I keep practicing and practicing. Maybe one day I will be like everyone else, but until then we just have a lot of fun hanging out on Florida's beautiful golf courses.
Victor is the leader of our small group which includes members as well as non members of the Tampa First SDA Church. Victor was victorious today as he came in first just one over par.
Julian has taught me a lot about golf and how to be a true gentleman in life as well as golf. He leads by example. He and his wife Ethyl regularly support my Wednesday group Bible Studies as well as our golf group. He has also been bringing his son Matt to our small group!
Julian's son Matt celebrates after sinking a beautiful putt. Matt is a lot of fun to be around and I am glad he is a part of our small golf group. Matt has just taken up golf again after having played as a kid. Today he came in second.
Richard is one of our praise team leaders at chruch and has also been very active with our youth. He is a great guy to have around at church and it was also a lot of fun getting to hang out with him today on the golf course.

This picture was taken the day of Kevin's baptism last February. Kevin, our star golfer today was introduced to the Tampa First SDA Church by his newlywed wife Bonnie. Since then he has always been surrounded by friends at Tampa First. At Tampa First we believe in teaching the Bible a lot and in loving and fellowshiping a lot.
And as in Kevin's case this is often the result.
Here I am sinking a putt for my second par of the day. We played 9 holes on this executive course.
