Sabbath, July 25 Baptism Pics

This morning Carrie Francisco helped us kick off our Adventures in Bible Prophecy Seminar at Tampa First SDA with a heartwarming and inspiring presentation about How great God is and how much He loves us! She used the scriptures and nature and science to assure us that God did indeed create us and cares for each one of us. Speaking of nature and science she told us how the water we have today is actually older than the pyramids. There is no new water, it all gets recycled. That got me to thinking about the water being used for Orion and Kisna’s baptism today. Was God planning their baptism from the foundation of the world when He created the same water we used today?

I know Orion had been looking forward to this day for some time. Kisna had been baptized as a youth but wanted to rededicate her life with Orion on this their, 24th anniversary weekend! So this weekend is very special and one that has been looked forward to for some time by many people. However, I don’t think anyone has prepared for this day or looked forward to it more than our Savior, who, six thousand years ago created the tree to be used to make the old rugged cross and prepared the water for today’s special baptism.

Carrie is one of our young people making the gospel presentations for our Bible Prophecy seminars this week.

One of the things I love about being a Bible Instructor is I get to meet and make new friends all the time. I have really enjoyed studying with Orion and Kisna in their home on Monday evenings. I also enjoyed getting to know Patricia, Kisna’s mother who also joined our studies. I am looking forward to being their friend for years to come.

I love taking pictures in our beautiful atrium before the baptisms.

Before the actual baptism we had a season of testimonies, where we praised God for His amazing grace. Kisna’s mother Patricia, also shared a testimony on how God’s grace has led people in her family back to Jesus. After the wonderful sermon on God’s greatness and love, and the real life testimonies on His amazing grace, and then the beautiful baptism, you could not help but feel the warmth and power of the Holy Spirit in our worship service this morning.

Kisna writes: "I first gave my heart to the Lord just like muy boys as a teenager; many years ago. And I have been very blessed through the years to have kept the Lord in my heart and in my home. I wanted my husband to make this decision about 20 years now; and now that he decide to get baptize I decided I would do it with him. If July 26 had fall on today Saturday we  would be celebrating two occasions in one; our wedding anniversary and our wedding with the Lord."

Orion writes: "Baptism means to me, a New Life in Christ our Lord. That every day I am looking forward to being with God in a new world where sin is no longer an issue. You will have no more sorrow, God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor crying, and no more pain.

I was proud to present to Orion and Kisna, their baptismal certificates, which also contains our fundamental beliefs.
